Factory images & binaries also available
Google has finally announced that it has started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Nexus devices and it will soon be available as an over-the-air (OTA) update. The company has not given specific dates or time but it is likely that your Nexus device will get the update in the coming days.
The company has also published the Android 5.0 factory images for most Nexus devices on its developer website. The only devices missing the factory images are the 3G/ LTE versions of the Nexus 7 (2012, 2013) tablets and Nexus 4, which will also take some time in getting the OTA update. The search giant has also published the binaries for the Nexus devices.
We are still waiting for the OTA update URLs, which allow us skip the wait time but none have been spotted until now, but we will update as post as soon as we get hold of any.
