Google Play Gift cardGoogle on Tuesday announced that the consumers in South Korea will now be able to buy Google Play Gift cards, making it the fourth Asian country after Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore to get the gift cards.

Google is offering Play Gift cards in five denominations – 15,000 won, 30,000 won, 50,000 won, 100,000 won, and 150,000 won. The cards can be purchased from multiple retail stores like CU, GS25, Home Plus, 7Eleven, and more. The full list of retail partners is available here.

As the name suggests, Google Play Gift cards can be used to gift friends and family, who are either Android users or deeply invested in the Google ecosystem, or can be used by the consumers themselves to purchase stuff on Google Play like ebooks, music, movies and more.  Google Play Gift cards can be redeemed both via web and Play Store device client.
