Over two months after releasing the beta version of Android 4.4 update for Q3000 smartphone, XOLO has now started rolling out the final and stable version of KitKat update for the phone. The update is now available over-the-air (OTA) and the Q3000 owners can head over to the XOLO Care app on their smartphone to look for the update.
Official change-log is not available at this point but you can expect to see the usual KitKat goodies like immersive mode, UI improvements, support for new Hangouts app with SMS/ MMS integration, cloud-print support, performance enhancements, security improvements and more.
The manual download link is not given on the XOLO website right now but we expect it to go live in the next few days.
Q3000 is the final device of the XOLO’s first batch of KitKat update roll-outs. The next batch includes devices like Q1200, Q900s, A500 Club, A600, A550s IPS for which the update roll-out has already started.

Thanks for Credits… updated last night… some things are good, some are bad. It is trying to imitate single home screen UI of Apple & Various chinese mnfrs. Lets talk about first impression…
1. UI has started to smoothen a lot. Touch has become super sensitive.
2. Icons have changed a lot. New & better icons in place now.
3. New Call Log interface. Will take time to adjust.
4. Widgets are not seen in App Drawer. Can be accessed only from Home Screen.
5. Internal Memory available for App Installation is still 1GB out of 16 GB. Could have been increased very easily.
6. Battery improvement –> Still need to see as update is quite new.
OTA update size is abt 375MB.

Seriously speaking… I don’t know… Mine was one from the first lot… so, may be they are releasing the OTA update in batches.
One thing to note, I didn’t use beta at all… although, I did download but never installed !
Build number now is KK_S005_28102014

On 30th October upgraded to kitkat build kk_S007_27052014 from Noida service center.
Very Bad Experiences :
Web surfing very slow
Battery shows overcharged notification green Led on crossing 90% charge.
When i set display sleep time 10 minutes. On Overnight charging the battery was just 21% charged.
Battery drains out rapidly in normal usage.
Some good experiences are :
ROM increased from 1 GB to 4 GB. that’s Very good.
Some Apps are more advanced.
Proximity Sensors improvement.
Camera flash in night is clear. Previously it was milky blurred.
I don’t know whether the update.zip 374 MB file uploaded today on xolo website is the same which I have got installed from service center or it is more advanced and refined.
If it is better then how to upgrade the newer version.
Please suggest me.

Hi, I have downloded the kitkat version from xolo site. i placed the Update.zip file on my xolo q3000 home directory. i rebooted the device but it is not updated.
i also tried to go into about phone-> Update Software but could not find “Update Software” to update it

Seems like Xolo doesn’t know they are doing. They seem to have created a big mess out of this.
@ Manish… I think you have old version which was for beta testing (i may be wrong here), i didn’t use the Xolo care app for upgrade. Got the msg for upgrade & did that OTA using 3G on phone. Some things with your upgrade are different from the one that I have. ROM is still 1GB ( No 4GB )… Rest, I agree with you. Also, the battery performance in my phone has improved a lot. It last over 2 days now on heavy use.
@ Vinit… it is possible that they have not rolled out update for set as it could be a batch release. My set was from the very first lot and bought it on the first day of retail itself.

hi, very nice look of neat icon gallary in Android Kit kate 4.4.2 update of Xolo q3000, I have faced the follwing issues in the recent update;
1. Battery drain out fastly in 3G browsing than Jelly bean
2. Full Battery charging gone up to 7 to 8 hrs instead of 4 hrs previously.
3. No support of Live wall papers.
Update is very easy without disturbing existing settings, contacts, sms etc.upgraded to Kitkat 4.4.2 from Jelly bean 4.2.1 of 375 mb update.
1. Performance is improved lot
2. UI clear cut HD display looking very nice
3. additional options in the setting menu
4. More edit options in Camera
5. voice to action good in google
6. mail applications are working very fast and good looking.

Its mind sucking, when I saw my internal memory was changed from 16 GB to 9.6GB. What kind of update is this? 4 GB is showing to Run internal Apps. Where is rest of 2.4GB internal memory gone.
Again the camera function doesn’t show features how many Mega pixel camera is built in whereas HD picture image is not like 4.2.1 jelly bean

i updated xolo q3000 jelly bean to kit kat…….. it’s sucks.. every time when i use to watch video online.. after few minutes it’s switch off…….

Hi all,
After I upgraded from jelly bean to Kitkat, I can’t use any of Live wall papers.
Every time I install any live wallpaper, it says, app is n’t installed.
Any Solution.?
Also, will factory reset bring jelly bean back.?

Hi, I hv updated my xolo Q3000 to andoid 4.4.2 after it my phone begins switching off while watching videos or when divice become hot. Is there any solution to solve this problem. Or how can I roll back the os to android 4.2.1 jelly bean.
