Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi doesn’t seem to be content with its newly launched Mi Pad and is working on an entry-level tablet. The upcoming Xiaomi tablet has been spotted in GFXbench database, which, in turn has, revealed some key specifications of the device.
While the name of the tablet is unclear at this point, the Xiaomi device will feature a 9.2-inch 1280x720p display, 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The tablet will also come with front as well as rear cameras of unknown resolution, 3G, Wi-Fi, and GPS. In addition, the Xiaomi tablet will run on Android 4.4.4 (with probably MIUI 6.0).
There is no word on when the tablet might reach the market but as Mi Pad is yet to start rolling out in markets outside China, it will probably take months before the 9.2-inch Xiaomi tablet becomes official. Given the specifications, the device is expected to be very cheap, most likely in line with the company’s Redmi smartphone.
