First Project Ara modular phone prototype shown on video

Waiting for the Project Ara to become a reality, the team working on the project recently passed a critical stage by building the first functional prototype of the modular smartphone. They are now working on the second and much improved prototype but not before they made a video of the first prototype for the likes of us, who are eagerly tracking the progress of the project.

The video gives us a basic idea of the work gone in the project so far and a brief look at the actual prototype. Not much can be seen here but we expect a longer look at the second Project Ara Module Developers Conference in January 2015.

Google ATAP team revealed on Google+ that second Project Ara Module Developers Conference will be happening on January 14, 2015, with a central site in Mountain View and satellite locations at Google offices in New York City, Buenos Aires, and London. It will then be repeated with the same agenda in Singapore on January 21, 2015 with satellite locations at Google offices in Bangalore, Tokyo, Taipei, and Shanghai.
