Motorola has released an update for its official Camera app in Google Play. The update is rolling out now and will be available on Motorola Android phones like Moto E, Moto G (1st & 2nd Gen), and Moto X (1st and 2nd Gen).

According to Motorola, the updated Camera app adds remote shutter control for Android Wear smartwatches. So, the Motorola smartphone users will now be able to click images on their phone using the Android Wear watches.

In addition, the app update includes performance enhancements and bug fixes. You can grab the updated Motorola Camera app from Play Store client on your Motorola Android phone.

How does the remote shutter work?

  • Open Camera app on your Motorola phone
  • The first step will trigger a notification on your Android smartwatch – Take Photo, tap this and it will show you a giant shutter button.
  • Tap the shutter button and the camera counts down from three and clicks the image and an image preview is sent to smartwatch as well as phone.
