Videocon launches Infinium Z40 Quad smartphone for INR 5,490

Videocon Mobile Phones on Thursday announced the launch of its new Infinium Z40 Quad smartphone in the Indian market. The new smartphone is being targeted to the selfie-lovers, who want an entry-level smartphone.

“Videocon Smartphones are designed to offer great performance and stunning features catering to the varied needs of consumers. Innovative design and elegant looks are the USP’s of our products and we seek to deliver a true pleasure of smart mobility to the consumers with our devices. Today, selfies are becoming the medium of self-expression amongst the consumers, and the demand for devices with great camera capabilities are increasing on an exponential level,” said Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones.

The Infinium Z40 Quad features a 3.2MP front camera, 5MP rear camera, 4-inch WVGA IPS display, Android 4.4, and 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The phone also packs 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and 3G support.

On the software front, Videocon has pre-loaded Hungama Music app, which gives access to 100 free content downloads for 30 days, along with Gameloft Games like Spiderman & Bubble Bash 3 as well as V-Secure app with 90 days free trial.

According to Videocon, the Infinium Z40 Quad smartphone will be available in White and Black colour options for INR 5,490.
