Samsung’s rumoured metal-bodied Galaxy A5 smartphone is expected to be launched in November, while the announcement can be expected sometime this month, reports SamMobile citing unnamed sources. According to the website, the smartphone will retail around $400-$450, which is in-line with the speculated price of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy A5, as per rumours, will come with a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter and Snapdragon 400 (or 410) quad-core processor. The phone will also pack 16GB of on-board storage, Android 4.4 and 2330 mAh battery.  The Galaxy A5 is said to be sporting a non-removable back cover, unlike Galaxy Alpha, which features a A5-like design.

There is no word on which markets will be getting the A5 first but is likely to reach Europe first, followed by Asia and Americas.

In related news, new information has popped about Galaxy A5’s sister smartphone – A7. The phone is said to be packing a full HD 5.5-inch display and not just an HD display. It is rumoured to be destined to select markets like China and will not see a wider release.

The Galaxy A5 is the five-inch model, with a 720p Super AMOLED display and a 1.2GHz processor — it’s a relatively middleweight specification but it’s probably what ensures Samsung were able to squeeze down the dimensions.
