Gionee launches GN715 smartphone in China for 1699 yuan

Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has introduced a new Android smartphones in its home market. Dubbed as Gionee GN715, the phone was showcased at an ongoing telecom trade event in the country.

The smartphone features 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-inch 720p HD display and Android 4.4. The phone also packs 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter and 2000 mAh battery.

In addition, Gionee has included 4G LTE support, dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack on the phone.

Pricing and availability

The Gionee GN715 is now available via the official Gionee store in China for 1699 yuan ($277) and can be grabbed in the White colour option.

There is no word on the debut of GN715 outside China but we will probably see it hitting Indian shores pretty soon.
