Indian smartphone vendor Karbonn on Monday joined Google, Micromax and Spice to announce the launch of its first Android One smartphone. The new Karbonn Sparkle V has been priced at INR 6,399 and is now on sale at e-retailer Snapdeal.com.
Like other Android One smartphone, the Karbonn Sparkle V also comes with entry-level specifications. The phone features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.
The phone runs on Android 4.4.4 and packs dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi and the usual connectivity options. As you can see, these are the same specifications as Spice Dream Uno and Micromax Canvas A1 Android One smartphones. Apart from the different design and build, there seems to be no difference between the phones. The phone will be released in Blue, Red, White and Grey colour options.
Karbonn has noted that Sparkle V will also be available in brick and mortar stores by Diwali, so the Snapdeal exclusivity is valid for a limited time only. More on today’s Android One announcements in related links below.
