Originally unveiled at last year’s IFA trade fair, the Lenovo S5000 tablet runs on Android 4.2.2, which is a really old version of Android as per current standards. Among other specifications, the tablet packs a 7-inch 1280x800p display, 1.2GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 3500 mAh battery. The tablet also comes with 16GB of internal storage, 3G support, 5MP rear camera, 1.6MP front camera, and the usual set of connectivity options.
On the software front, Lenovo has included Mobile Security, Kingsoft Office, Lenovo AnyShare, Skype, Lenovo launcher and ES File Explorer on the tablet.
“In keeping with our commitment to design, the S5000 represents a new league of Tablets that are ultra-sleek and ultra-slim. Partnering with a trusted, global e-commerce giant like Amazon, will make our products more accessible and easier to purchase,” said Rohit Midha, Director, Tablet Business Unit, Lenovo India.
Lenovo S5000 will be competing with the likes of Dell Venue 7 3G, HP Slate 7 VoiceTab, and Asus FonePad 7 tablets in the country.
