New Moto X and Moto 360 to arrive in India later this month

Motorola on Friday revealed at a press event in New Delhi that it will begin the sales of the new Moto X and Moto 360 devices in India later this month. The company has not shared any exact launch dates or the official pricing information.

Unveiled earlier today, new Moto X will be succeeding the company’s original Moto X in the country. It features a full HD 5.2-inch OLED display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The phone runs on Android 4.4.4 and includes several Motorola enhancements such as voice-control, Moto Assist, Moto display, and Moto actions, all of which add really useful features.

Among other specifications, the smartphone packs 13MP rear camera, 2MP front shooter, 2300 mAh battery and the usual set of connectivity options.

Motorola has not announced which colour or pre-configured leather/ wood back variants of the phone it plans to bring to the country.

Coming to Moto 360 smartwatch, this Android Wear device will also be released in the country later this month and will probably be launched around the same time as the new Moto X.

Sporting a round stainless steel frame, the Moto 360 comes with genuine leather strap. The smartwatch includes a 1.56-inch 320x290p display, TI OMAP 3 processor, 512MB of RAM, 320 mAh and 4GB of storage. The device is also water-resistant and will packs a heart-rate sensor, pedometer and dual-microphones.

Expected pricing: New Moto X – INR 30,000, Moto 360 – INR 15,000
