New Moto G images appear ahead of announcement

New Moto GWith just hours to go for Motorola’s Chicago press event, where it is expected to unveil the successors to Moto G and Moto X smartphones, alleged images of the Moto G successor have appeared online.

Shared by Brazilian blog, these images further confirm that Moto G successor will keep the same branding. To avoid confusion, we will be referring to it as the new Moto G, as we have been doing for the last few days.

The leaked images are of the dual-SIM + Digital TV (XT1069) version of the smartphone, which will be sold in select South and Latin American countries. Apart from the presence of an internal antenna to support digital TV, this version is practically same as the new dual-SIM Moto G.

The retail box images also reveal the key specifications of the phone – 5-inch HD display with Gorilla Glass 3, 8MP rear camera, 16GB internal storage, and Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, which are in line with what we have been hearing until now.

The new Moto G will also support the coloured back panels aka Motorola Shells like its predecessor and sport front-speakers like Moto E.

This is it for now but as always we will bring you all the official details as soon as Motorola reveals them later today. Till then check out more leaked images of the phone below.
