Singleton stated that Google wants Android Wear to possess the ability to interact with other devices on your body and as a part of the same, it will be adding support for Bluetooth headsets, so that the consumers can simply connect their smartwatch to a Bluetooth headset and listen music and stuff. The search giant will also bring GPS-support, given the hardware is present in the device.
“If you’re someone who likes to go for a run, it might be convenient to be able to leave your phone at home. So you can start recording your track with GPS on the watch. You can throw on some music and have a really enjoyable run,” said David, explaining the usability of support for Bluetooth headset and GPS.
On the watch-faces front, Google hopes to release an API, which will let developers create new watch-faces and make them available via Google Play for easy accessibility.
While Singleton did not give an exact timing for the specific updates, he said that they have several updates coming in before of the end of 2014.
