The successor to the Motorola’s Moto X smartphone, which is scheduled to be unveiled on September 4, might not be called Moto X+1. As per a leaked screenshot shared by Phandroid.com, the smartphone could simply be known as the “the new Moto X.”

As we are yet to see any official document or promotional material that shows either Moto X+1 or te new Moto X branding, we can’t be fully certain but as the leaked screenshot is allegedly from US telecom operator Verizon’s internal system, it seems plausible that new Moto X name might be the real deal. Also, “new Moto X” sounds better than Moto X+1.

The source, who has shared the screenshot with Phandroid, also notes that he/ she has also seen ‘The new Moto X’ referenced on cases, rebate forms, and other internal documents.

The screenshot also includes an interesting tidbit, which suggests that White/ Bamboo variant of the Moto X successor might be available normally rather than as a part of the Moto Maker.

No other new details are available as this point but previous rumours have indicated that Moto X successor will come with a 5.2-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 800/ 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16/ 32GB of internal storage, Android 4.4, and 12MP rear camera.
