The sub-INR 10,000 price-segment in India is getting a lot of attention from the smartphone vendors these days and Karbonn doesn’t want to be left behind. The company on Wednesday announced the launch of its new Titanium S19 smartphone in the country, which will retail for INR 8,999.
Dubbed as a selfie phone, the Titanium S19 comes with a 5MP front camera enabled with IR film, which Karbonn claims will help the user in capturing great selfies. In addition, the smartphone packs a 13MP rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash.
“Selfies are increasingly becoming a medium of self-expression amongst youth contributing to its phenomenal popularity across social media platforms. Catering to the consumers’ demand for smartphones equipped with superior camera features, Karbonn has launched a dynamic smartphone device powered with advanced photography features & interactive camera apps for superior picture and video quality,” said Shashin Devsare, Executive Director, Karbonn.
Among other specifications, the phone features a 5-inch HD IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2000 mAh battery and Android 4.4. Titanium S19 also includes dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, 3G and other connectivity options. Karbonn has also added several software enhancements on the phone like iFloat Touch for direct access to key apps, special tile home display for shortcuts to most-used apps and more.
