Both Xiaomi and e-retailer Flipkart have confirmed this time on their social-media channels along with the date for next schedule sale, which is August 12. The e-retailer had earlier revealed that over 150,000 Flipkart users had registered for the latest sale.
Priced at INR 13,999, Xiaomi Mi 3 is getting a lot of attention from the consumers. The phone is an excellent value-for-money as it comes with 5.-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4.2-based MIUI and 13MP rear camera.
To remind you, Xiaomi Mi 3 was originally launched on July 15 in the country and has seen three flash sales till date. In related news, Xiaomi has rolled-out a new software update for the Mi 3 in the Indian market.

this is just a marketing gimmick..it was certainly not sold out out in 2 seconds..it is ridiculous to even say that because no matter how fast your internet connection is..it will take 5 to 10 minutes to complete the online transaction successfully. These kind of headlines is used to attract customer..no doubt its a great package..and I think they should keep a steady stock if they want to sell well
I gave my order @2:08PM so how come it was out of stock in 2sec ?
2 sec is not the time of complete transaction. When someone adds the phone into the shopping cart, it becomes unavailable for others. After that the user gets 10-15 min to complete the transaction. So what they are saying is within 2 sec, all 15000 phones were added to cart.
Its definitely not sold out in 2 seconds. Here is how its done.
1. All the people who registers are pressing the “BUY NOW” button as soon as countdown ends (2PM).
2. 15,000 (or 10,000 in earlier sales) people who hit the “BUY NOW” button earlier will be reserved one Mi3 phone and added to cart.
3. This is happening in the first 2 or 5 seconds. Flipkart and Xiaomi is claiming these times as sold out time.
4. As soon as Flipkart adds phones to cart there will be “out of stock” sign.
5. The people who got phones in cart will have time to complete the payment till the next day.
6. Due to high traffic for payments FK crashed today and displayed 502 error. But after some time (30 min or 1 hour) those people are able to complete the purchase.
I am not an employee of FK or Xiaomi. Just a normal user.
I was not able to buy on the last two times (22nd, 29th) while my friend was able to buy one on 29th.
Today I was able to purchase one.
People who are frustrated of low stocks have every right to do so. But I believe the issue is not with Flipkart. I don’t think they can sell more devices if Xiaomi does not supply them.
Below are the comments made Xiaomi executives:
Xiaomi underestimated the demand first time. They went by the no. of people who liked their facebook page before launch which is around 10K.
But the demand was so huge and flipkart crashed.
Hugo barra said two days back why they are not increasing the shipments even when the demand is 10-15 times more.
He want to be able to support the customers that already got the device through these sales. They want to increase the service centers and customer care support before selling more no.of handsets which I believe a good decision.
At the same time I believe they should increase the weekly sales to 20-25K at least.
Next time, it will be sold 1 sec b4 2pm. Wow! This Chinese and Espanic is showing us Indian miracles.
Rightly said, but ppl who like to blabber will blabber as they do it below 😀
They are just creating a black marketing.
its a scam>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Super like for all those posted and commented on the 2 second sale
full HD display with 16gb? using cloud is not a cheap option not in india anyway. and no sign of 64gb and phone selling like hot cakes happens only in india anyone can dump anything here and sells out samsung grand is a good sale proves it
it has USB OTG support. so no worries.
glad it has bigger battery or power bank suggestion would have come
oh..really…you said cloud storage is not cheap in india, that’s why i said it has OTG support. and about power bank, its always wise to have a spare unit in case of an emergency.
what i meant is internet is not cheap and i dont like carrying around all types of accessories for one phone tbh
