XOLO releases A550S IPS for INR 5,799

XOLO has announced the launch of a new budget Android smartphone in the country. Part of the company’s A-series, the new A550s IPS was revealed by the company on its social media channels and is also listed on the company website.

Priced at INR 5,799, the smartphone features a 4-inch WVGA IPS display, 1GHz MediaTek dual-core processor, dual-SIM card slots, and Android 4.2. The A500s IPS also comes with 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera with 3G video calling support, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

In addition, XOLO has included 1400 mAh battery, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The company has promised to provide Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the phone, however it has not mentioned any time-frame for the roll-out.

XOLO to launch 8X-1000 on Aug 6

In related news, XOLO is all set to unveil its new XOLO Play 8X-1000 smartphone as well as Hive UI on August 6 in New Delhi. It will be the company’s new flagship smartphone and is rumoured to feature a 5-inch FHD display, 2GB of RAM, and MediaTek’s octa-core processor.

Good looking phone, but XOLO killed this with Android 4.2 + 512MB RAM (In case of KitKat 512MB is enough)…
