Oppo N1 and R1 get price-cut in India

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has announced that that it has reduced the prices of its N1 and R1 Android smartphones in the Indian market.

According to the company, the Oppo N1 will now retail for INR 32,990, down from previous pricing of INR 37,990. This is the second price of the smartphone, which was originally launched in the country in January 2014 for INR 39,999.

On the other hand, the Oppo R1 will retail for INR 24,990 instead of INR 26,990. This is the first price-correction for the phone, which arrived in the country early-May.

With the announcement, Oppo has also iterated that its flagship Find 7 phone will be available beginning next month for INR 37,990.

To remind you, Oppo Mobiles India currently retails in 20 cities in India including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Pune and Lucknow, however you can buy the company’s devices from e-retailers for use in other cities.

The company has also stated that it will be targeting a mix of multi-brand retail and channel partners, small format stores and self-branded stores for the network expansion drive.
