Google has announced that it has upgraded the Glass hardware and it now includes 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB present in the earlier version. The company has added that the units, which are now shipping to the consumers will have the extra RAM.

While Google hasn’t explicitly stated it, we believe that the consumers in UK and buyers of DVF collection should be getting the 2GB version.

In addition, Google has also announced that it will soon be rolling out a software update, which will bring viewfinder to Glass, meaning after the update Glass users will able to just say “ok glass, show the viewfinder” and they will see white L’s in the four corners of the Glass screen to help them in composing their perfect shot.

The search giant has also noted that the Google Now parking and package notification cards are coming to Glass soon.

In related news, Google has also revealed that 11 new applications (aka Glassware) are coming to Google Glass. These are Runtastic, 94Fifty Basketball, The Guardian, Duolingo, GuidiGo, Allthecooks, Zombies, Run!, Star Chart, Shazam, Goal.com, Livestream, and MusiXmatch.
