Amazon has revealed via a teaser page that it is hosting an event on June 18, where it will be unveiling something cool. The company has also shared a video of people staring downward at something just off-camera, moving their heads from side-to-side to try different vantage points and making comments like “It’s very real-life,” and “I don’t know how you guys do it.”
While Amazon has not officially stated that the upcoming device is going to be a smartphone, eagle-eyed Aaron Kasten has spotted a frame in the teaser video, which actually shows a smartphone-like device, which looks a lot like the leaked Amazon smartphone.
The video also confirms the previously rumoured details like Amazon smartphone is going to include a multi-camera set-up to detect user’s face and eye movement to manipulate the smartphone user-interface. The exact details will only become clear at the announcement.
As per the leaks, Amazon smartphone is expected to arrive with a 4.7-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, rear and front cameras as well as four infrared camera sensors on the front.
