Spice Stellar 509 official, packs 5-inch display for INR 7,999

The entry-level smartphone segment is seeing a lot of activity in the Indian market for the past few weeks and we have seen quite a few launches. Joining the fray is Spice, which has introduced the new Stellar 509 Android smartphone in the country.

Priced at INR 7,999, the smartphone packs a 5-inch FWVGA (854x480p) display, quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage with microSD card slot. The phone runs on a disappointing Android 4.2 with no upgrade plan in place.

Among other specifications, Spice Stellar 509 features 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front camera, 3G support, dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

The smartphone will go on sale beginning today at HomeShop18.com in White colour option.

In related news, another Spice Android smartphone went on sale recently at HomeShop18. Dubbed as Spice Smart Flo Crystal Mi-449, it is a budget smartphone and carries a price-tag of INR 4,999.

Coming to the specs, the phone packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and Android 4.2.2. Spice Smart Flo Crystal also includes dual-SIM support, 3.2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera and 1450 mAh battery.
