Like Motorola, Huawei seems have partnered with Flipkart to exclusively launch the new Honor 3C smartphone in the country. The phone earlier today went on pre-order at the e-retailer with expected shipping in the last week of May.
Flipkart is also running a promotion for the pre-order consumers, who will get INR 1,500 cashback in the form of store-credit as well as free Royal Challengers Bangalore merchandise. The phone carries a price-tag of INR 14,999, so effectively, the pre-order consumers will be buying the phone for INR 13,499, which is a great deal given the specifications.
To remind you, Huawei Honor 3C smartphones features a 5-inch 1280x720p HD IPS display, 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 8MP rear camera. The phone also packs 5MP front camera, 2300 mAh battery, 8GB of on-board storage and microSD card slot.
The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 with Emotion 2.0 UI, which we find a little disappointing. Also, there is no word on whether KitKat update will be released for the phone. Among other specifications, the phone includes dual-SIM support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
We believe that the exclusivity is only for the pre-order period, following which the phone will likely go on sale at all major brick and mortar stores as well as e-retailers.
“which a great deal given the specifications.” – are you serious? what’s so great about this spec, to be priced equally with Moto G? If this article is paid for, please mention in disclaimer.

I don’t think that this article is paid for. It’s just that phones like the Honor 3C and Xiaomi Hongmi (Redmi) have earned the reputation of being great devices at dirt cheap prices in China, where ‘most every electronic device or automobile is a heck of a lot cheaper than they are in India.
What I do think is that the Honor 3C is a great deal in China, where it costs just about $129 (just over Rs. 7500). In India, at exactly twice the price, it’s probably best avoided IMO. YMMV.

Neither this report nor any other report on the blog is a paid article..
Why do I believe that Honor 3C is a great option?
Well, it comes with 2GB of RAM (hard to find in this budget), 8MP f/2.0 rear camera sensor (made by Sony), 5MP front shooter, microSD card slot and 2300 mAh battery.. You won’t find these in Moto G. That said, Moto G is a great smartphone in its own right..
@view_from_the_top:disqus Yes, it has been priced higher in India than China, the 2GB RAM model, which has been launched in India, costs $160 in China..
