Intex has announced the launch of its new Aqua i5 HD smartphone in the Indian market today. An upgraded version of the company’s previously released Aqua i5, the smartphone comes with some decent specifications.

The phone packs a 5-inch 720p HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and Android 4.2 (Intex has promised to provide Android 4.4.2 update for the phone). On the imaging front, Intex has included a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera on the phone.

In addition, Aqua i5 HD features 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 2000 mAh battery.

According to Intex, the phone will go on sale today and has been priced at INR 9,990. It will be initially available in Black colour option with White version coming soon. At this pricing, the smartphone will compete with the likes of Spice Pinnacle Stylus and Micromax Canvas 2 Colors in the country.
