Indian smartphone vendor Lava, which already retails one Moto E competitor ‘IRIS 406Q’ in the country, is getting ready to launch another in the form of IRIS X.
The company on Tuesday teased its plans to launch the smartphone very soon. According to Lava, the phone will come with Android 4.4.2 on-board and feature a 4.5-inch IPS display as well as 8MP rear camera. The shared teaser image also reveals the presence of dual-LED flash on the IRIS X.
“Riding on the success of its Iris Pro series, Lava is really upbeat about this offering and plans to launch the phone in the next few days with a pan India 360 degree marketing campaign,” the company said in a statement.
While Lava has not revealed other details about the device, it has stated that the phone will be priced under INR 8,000. Given Moto E’s price-tag of INR 6,999, Lava will need to bring a cracker of a phone with a matching price-tag to compete with the Motorola smartphone, which is already reaping the benefits of the first mover advantage.
