Samsung India might be saying that it has not officially reduced the price of Galaxy S5 but the market reality is different. After all, it is the market that determines the price of a product and in the case of Samsung’s Galaxy S5, it continues to go down.
The price of S5 has come down from INR 51,499 to INR 41,199 in a course of one month. To remind you, the smartphone went on sale beginning April 11 in India. This drastic reduction in the price-tag is a clear indicator that Galaxy S5 is not selling well. Turns out, the presence of a heart-rate monitor and fingerprint scanner aren’t enough for over INR 50K price-tag.
Thanks to the launch of competing Sony Xperia Z2 and HTC One (M8) smartphones in the last few days, Galaxy S5 is under more pressure than ever, which has led to the latest round of price-reduction.
The consumers can grab Galaxy S5 for as low as INR 42,199 from Amazon India and for INR 42,415 at Flipkart, two of the most popular e-retailers in the country. Brick and mortar retailers are offering similar prices, however you might need to spend a little time bargaining with them.
To remind you, Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, Exynos 5 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and Android 4.4.2.

Whoever buys this instead of note 3 is an idiot. For a 40k+ phone 32gb is must be minimum. nexus 5 32gb is selling at 33k. Samsung is fooling people for profits.
Samsung is importing this phone at 24000 per one piece.

Sammy should have price it with their brains in ON mode. Now this much reduction clearly shows that S5 is NOT AT ALL selling good and it may not help further sales too, as people may feel its failure one (which it already is).
Gaurav ji, Indian S5 doesn’t comes with good snapdragon801… Its coming with B$ fake 0cta exynos super oven processor (and so I am calling it a failure).
