The Asia today report adds no other new details but to recap the SamMobile report, the Galaxy S5 Prime is being developed under the codename Project KQ and will have more than one variants like other Galaxy S-series smartphones.
The North American variant is likely to include a Snapdragon processor, not sure if it will be 801 or the newer 805. Among other details, the phone will pack Quad-HD 2560x1440p display, 3GB of RAM, and Android 4.4.2.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (or whatever the final branding is) will be competing with LG’s upcoming G3 smartphone, which too packs Quad-HD display.
In related news, Samsung is going to introduce a Galaxy-series camera phone, likely to be called Galaxy K, at a press event in Singapore tomorrow.
