The first image of LG’s upcoming G3 smartphone has appeared online. Although, the image does not show much of the phone, it still confirms one key detail about the device.

As per this image, which has been posted by folks at GSM Arena, LG G3 will also pack rear-mounted buttons like its predecessor G2 (volume rocker + power button).

There is another interesting piece of information present in this photograph – some sort of a sensor is included on the left of the camera. It could be a depth sensor like HTC One M8 to help with photography or an infrared sensor to help with something else, we can’t be certain right now.

Expected to be announced in June/ July, the LG G3 is rumoured to come with Quad-HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, OIS+ support in camera(as is also scribbled in the notes present in the image) and Android 4.4.2.

Update: Here is another image showing the rear-mounted button on G3.
