Samsung has introduced a successor to its first projector Android smartphone Galaxy Beam in the form of Galaxy Beam 2 in China. Now listed on the company’s website, Samsung Galaxy Beam2 comes with entry-level specifications and is likely to be priced low.
The smartphone features a 4.66-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5MP rear camera and Android 4.2. The phone also packs microSD card slot, 2600 mAh battery, and the usual set of connectivity options.
In addition, Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 includes a mini projector, which supports WVGA resolution and can be used to project images, presentations, videos and more from smartphone. Other details about the projector are unknown at this point.
The smartphone will be released in China Mobile in the country. There is no word on the release elsewhere right now.
