Xiaomi is coming to ten countries this year including India

Expanding on what Xiaomi executives like Hugo Barra have been saying for the last few weeks, the company today announced that it will be coming to ten countries this year including India. The other countries are Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Turkey, Brazil and Mexico.

If the comments made by Hugo Barra at the recent China 2.0 forum in Beijing are any indications, we will first see the release of Xiaomi in Malaysia, followed by Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Thereafter the company will move to India and other countries.

Xiaomi has not revealed the exact schedule on when plans to enter the new markets but we hope to hear more in the coming weeks.

As it prepares to expand in the new market, the company on Tuesday, announced that it changing its website domain to Mi.com.
