HTC’s Executive Director for Product Management Mo Versi has revealed that HTC will start rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for Droid DNA, which is Verizon variant of the HTC Butterfly, beginning April 24.

According to Versi, DNA update has got all the necessary approvals and will get the Sense 5.5 + Android 4.4 in just a day from now.

The official change-log is not available right now but the update will most probably include the KitKat specific changes like the presence of immersive mode, cloud-print support, UI improvements, performance enhancements as well as new versions of pre-loaded crapware.

To remind you, Droid DNA was originally released with Android 4.1 and got the Android 4.2.2 update with Sense 5.0 in December of 2013. Android 4.4.2 update is going to be the second major Android update for the smartphone since its launch in November of 2012.

There is no word on when HTC Butterfly will get the KitKat update but it is said to be arriving soon.
