Nokia X gets a price-cut in India, now selling for INR 7,027

Looks like Nokia isn’t getting any love from the consumers, thus the company has decided to reduce the price of its recently launched Nokia X Android smartphone. The phone, which was launched on March 10 in the country for INR 8,599, can now be grabbed from e-retailers like Flipkart for INR 7,027.

This price-cut brings the phone closer to the price-tag at which it should have been launched in the first place. One more price-cut and the phone will finally be worth buying.

To remind you, Nokia X runs on a forked version of Android 4.1 and comes with 4-inch WVGA display, dual-core Qualcomm processor, 3MP rear camera, dual-SIM support and 3G. The phone also packs 1500 mAh battery, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

If you are looking for an Android phone with similar price-tag, consider Huawei Ascend Y300, which is sold for around INR 7,500 and comes with slightly better specifications and support for Google Play, which is absent from Nokia X.
