This price-cut brings the phone closer to the price-tag at which it should have been launched in the first place. One more price-cut and the phone will finally be worth buying.
To remind you, Nokia X runs on a forked version of Android 4.1 and comes with 4-inch WVGA display, dual-core Qualcomm processor, 3MP rear camera, dual-SIM support and 3G. The phone also packs 1500 mAh battery, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.
If you are looking for an Android phone with similar price-tag, consider Huawei Ascend Y300, which is sold for around INR 7,500 and comes with slightly better specifications and support for Google Play, which is absent from Nokia X.

It was already selling at 7199 the last time I checked last week.
The upcoming Zenfone 4 will be cheaper, yet better in all aspects by the proverbial country mile. http://www.gsmarena.com/asus_zenfone_4-5951.php
