Asus launches Fonepad 7 Dual-SIM ME175CG tablet in India for INR 12,999

As we had reported, Asus has announced the launch of Fonepad 7 Dual-SIM ME175CG Android tablet in the Indian market today. The tablet has been priced at INR 12,999 and will be released in White and Gray colour options.

Originally introduced at Mobile World Congress this year, Asus Fonepad 7 Dual-SIM features a 7-inch 1280x800p HD display, 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.3. The tablet also packs 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, dual-SIM support, voice-calling and 3G. On the imaging front, the tablet includes 5MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera.

Asus is also bundling 16GB of Asus WebStorage for 1 year for free with every Fonepad 7 Dual-SIM in India. The tablet will go on sale in the coming days.

The company has also revealed that it will be pushing Android 4.4 KitKat updat for Fonepad 7 Dual-SIM in June of this year.
