Samsung India has reduced the price of the dual-display clamshell smartphone “Galaxy Golden” in the country. This price-cut is probably the biggest we have seen this year. The phone is now retailing for INR 29,999 on Flipkart, down INR 20,000 from its earlier price of around INR 49,999.

With the current pricing, the phone finally seems worthy of consideration. It features two 3.7-inch Super AMOLED WVGA displays, 1.7GHz Qualcomm MSM8930 dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and Android 4.2. Samsung Galaxy Golden also comes with 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera, 16GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot.

In addition, Samsung has included 1820 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, and 3G support. This flip phone sports the physical numeric keyboard with Android keys in the open form as well as capacitive Android keys on the front in the closed form with display on both sides.

Samsung Galaxy Golden was originally introduced in South Korea in August and reached Indian shores in late-October.
