LG G Watch coming to UK for less than £180 before July

Advertisements

LG has revealed to UK technology news website Pocket Lint that it plans to release the Android Wear powered G Watch in UK before July. The smartwatch will be priced under £180. This is the first time we are hearing about a price estimation of any Android Wear product.

The company also showcased a non-working prototype of the watch to the website, which, as we have seen in the press renders, is quite boring. Among the specifics, there are no buttons on the watch and straps are changeable.  There is still no word on the final specifications of the smartwatch.

To remind you, LG isn’t the only manufacturer working on a smartwatch product based on Android Wear, Motorola has already announced the Moto 360 and other manufacturers like Samsung and Fossil are also on-board.

Gear Fit update bring vertical orientation

In more wearables news, Samsung has released an update for early test units of Gear Fit, bringing vertical orientation, which was not available in the devices showcased at Mobile World Congress or local announcement events.

It is very likely that the update will be immediately available to Gear Fit buyers on April 11, which is the global release date of Gear Fit and Gear 2 devices from Samsung.
