Sony officially launches Xperia T2 Ultra dual for INR 25,999

Sony India has officially launched its mid-range phablet Xperia T2 Ultra in the country today. The smartphone has been priced at INR 25,999, which is lower than the price at which the phone was previously sighted at an e-retailer.

Originally introduced at CES earlier this year, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra features a 6-inch HD display, Android 4.3, 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and dual-SIM support. The phone also comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 3G support.

In addition, the phone packs 13MP rear camera, 1.1MP front camera, and the usual connectivity options.

At this pricing, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra will be competing with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, Lenovo Vibe X, HP Slate 6 VoiceTab and Alcatel Onetouch Idol X.

And pray tell me why I won’t buy the Nexus 5 or Galaxy S4 at this price? Unless of course the only thing I want from my phone is a big@$$ screen!

Looks good, nice specs, great brand – but priced at a 50% premium at least. At 16/17K (or anything below 20, really), this might just blow away all competition (cheap stuff) from SS (Grand2/Neo), LG (G Pro Lite) and MMX (C4, Knight, Turbo) put together.
