“Digitimes Research has learned that Google is set to release at least two Nexus tablets in 2014 with an 8.9-inch model already under development and set to enter mass production in July,” Digitimes noted in its report.
Given the July production rumours, it is more likely that Google will unveil this tablet after Google I/O 2014 like last year, when it introduced Nexus 7 2013 after Google I/O.
There is no word on the specifications right now but if this tablet is indeed coming, it will be most likely be packing Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, latest version of Android, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and the usual connectivity options.
Digitimes is pegging the price to be around $299, which seems plausible as it will decide the fate of this slate.
