Google Translate adds handwriting support for Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu

Google has released a new update for its Translate app on Android. The update is now live in Google Play and comes with handwriting support for more languages including Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu. Now, Android users will be able to write in these languages using their fingers or a stylus on Google Translate app and get translations from various other languages.

Here is the full change-log of the latest update for Google Translate

  • Improved stability. Fixed crash bugs.
  • Handwriting for more languages: Arabic, Bosnian, Cebuano, Gujarati, Hmong, Kannada, Maltese, Mongolian, Persian, Punjabi, Somali, Tamil, Telugu

In addition to Google Translate, Google has also released minor updates for Google Search, YouTube, Google Maps, and Google Wallet. It is important to note that all these updates are released in phases, so your Android device might not get them right-away.
