According to Micromax, Funbook P280 features Android 4.2.2, 1GHz dual-core processor and 7-inch WVGA display. The tablet also packs 2400 mAh battery, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. In addition, it comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and 3G support via USB dongle.
On the software front, Micromax has pre-loaded apps like M! Live (for videos, games, music and news), Spuul (to stream latest blockbuster movies and TV shows), Opera Mini and Kingsoft Office Suite on the tablet.
“Owing to the increased consumption of entertainment on mobile devices, we have tried to provide users with their one stop entertainment device with the Funbook P280. At Micromax, we have always aimed to empower a large consumer base in the country by offering them innovative devices reinforcing our commitment to democratize and massify technology. We are confident that the Funbook P280 would further strengthen our leadership pursuit in the tablet PC market,” said Vikas Jain, Co-Founder, Micromax.
There is hardly anything exciting about the tablet but considering the price-tag, we can’t expect much. If you really want a tablet under INR 5,000 then only consider Funbook P280, else spend a few thousand more and get a decent tablet.
