Samsung reveals pricing of Galaxy TabPro, NotePro tablets in US

Samsung Galaxy NotePro and TabPro tabletsTabPro 12.2, 10.1 and 8.4 go on sale beginning February 13

Samsung today announced the pricing and availability details of its new Galaxy TabPro and NotePro series tablets for the United States. These tablets were unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2014 last month.

Samsung has stated that US consumers can pre-order Wi-Fi-only versions of three of the four tablets starting later today at various retailers including Best Buy and Amazon. These tablets will go on sale starting Feb 13. The Samsung Galaxy NotePro tablet will be available next month thus isn’t available on pre-order right now.

On the pricing front, Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 will go for $650 (32GB), Tab Pro 10.1 for $500 (16GB) and Tab Pro 8.4 for $400 (16GB). The Note Pro 12.2 costs a hefty $750 for 32GB model and $850 for 64GB. According to Samsung, US telecom operator Verizon will be offering Note Pro 12.2 LTE tablet but no details on availability or pricing have been shared, other telecom operators are also expected to carry the device but exact details are unknown.

Samsung’s Galaxy Pro tablets feature 2560x1600p display, Android 4.4, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. While the 12.2-inch Note and Tab Pro tablets come with 3GB of RAM, 10.1 and 8.4-inch Tab Pro tablet packs 2GB of RAM.

The company has also included new Magazine user-interface on the tablets, which borrows elements from Microsoft’s Metro design and the apps like Flipboard.

With four completely revamped models featuring unique software innovations and impressive displays, these tablets offer users a premium Galaxy experience,” said Nanda Ramachandran, vice president of emerging business at Samsung Telecommunications America.
