Moto G Google Play edition now on sale in US

Advertisements

Google has launched the Google Play Edition of Moto G smartphone in the United States. The phone is now available in Google Play for starting $179.

Apart from the presence of pure Android 4.4 on Moto G, there is no difference between retail version of Moto G and the Google Play edition.

We are not quite sure why Google has worked with Motorola on it, the retail version of Moto G itself packs an almost uncluttered version of the phone and Motorola has shown that it can provide faster updates. So, why exactly would a consumer want to get the Google Play edition, rather than the retail version? We are not sure.

To remind you, Moto G comes with 4.5-inch HD display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 2070 mAH battery, 3G, 5MP rear camera, and 1.3MP front camera.

In related news, Boost Mobile has also started selling Moto G in US for starting $129.99. You can grab the phone from Boost Mobile website now.
