According to Jay Parker, who is the head of Lenovo’s North America operations, Lenovo will be unveiling several Chromebook models in multiple price segments and configurations by the summer of 2014.
“I think Chromebooks can be very impactful in the market really quickly. We believe the market will accelerate greatly in the next 12 months,” Parker told CNET at CES 2014.
Parker has not revealed any details about these upcoming Chromebooks models. To remind you, Lenovo already offers one Chromebook, called Thinkpad X131e in the US for $399.
In related news, Jay Parker stated that Lenovo also plans to bring its smartphones to US this year. There is no word on which phones will be launched or when but the company intends to release smartphones stateside as soon as possible.
