Advertisements

We already know that Samsung is going to launch a phone called Galaxy Grand Neo but the details about the smartphone were scarce until now but no longer. Thanks to an anonymous tipster of GSMArena, we now have almost all the information about the Grand Neo.

As per the leaked details, the phone will feature a 5.01-inch TFT WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card. Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo will also come with 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Android 4.2 (really, Samsung) and 2100 mAh battery.

On the software side, the usual Samsung features like multi-window, Popup Play, and more will also be present on the Neo.

The smartphone is expected to sell for 299 euros but the exact availability details are unclear however we expect to see an announcement soon.

Samsung Galaxy Grand will be joining the likes Galaxy Grand, Grand 2, & Grand Quattro in the Android portfolio of the Korea manufacturer.

Ok, so 299 Euros=Rs. 25,000. At that range, wouldn’t people buy the Nexus 5 for just a few bucks extra? Even SS aficionados would much rather have the Galaxy S3 rather than this one.

However, I think the retail pricing will be much lower. I think even the Grand 2 itself will be priced slightly lower than 25K because SS knows that it’s not going to be able to compete with the Nexus 5!

If the Neo pricing matches the Moto G pricing (which I doubt), it will be interesting to see which one wins. The latest from Google/Moto with guaranteed updates, or SS’s big screen abandonware? (Because they’ll not update this ever!)
