Samsung’s semiconductor division is expected to unveil a new Exynos processor on January 7 at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, hinted a tweet from the official Samsung Exynos Twitter account today. The tweet does not give any details about this processor, but it is likely to be an octa-core model, which will also be used in the upcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone.

It would be interesting to whether this processor will feature 64-but support or not as past rumours have indicated that Samsung will be unveiling a 64-bit mobile processor in 2014. The upcoming octa-core processor will also reportedly be able to take the advantage of all eight processor cores when needed unlike the Exynos 5 Octa variant present in Galaxy S4, where only four processor cores work at any given moment.
To remind you, Exynos is a series of ARM-based SoCs, which were first introduced in 2010 and since then at-least some of all Galaxy S-series and Note-series smartphones have been powered by them.
