HTC might consider new chipset suppliers for budget 4G phones

In related news, HTC’s head of China and North Asia Jack Tong has stated that the company is will consider diversifying its chipset suppliers to make cheaper 4G LTE smartphones, however it is not looking to do the same right now.

“Globally, 4G phones are expected to roll out in phases, beginning with high-end products, when mid-tier or budget 4G phones actually hit the market, we will certainly evaluate the situation, because HTC has always focused on technology development,” Tong said at a press event.
