Samsung launches Galaxy Grand 2 in India, goes on sale next week

As expected, Samsung today unveiled its Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone in the Indian market. Introduced at a press event in Mumbai, this Galaxy Grand successor will cater to the mid-range phablet lovers in the country.

Featuring a 5.25-inch HD display, the Galaxy Grand 2 comes with 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 2600 mAh battery. The phone also packs Android 4.3, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera, 1.9MP front camera and dual-SIM support.

Samsung is also introducing a content store called Club Samsung with Galaxy Grand 2, which will offer Grand 2 buyers an opportunity to grab music, videos, live TV and movies directly on the phone. Club Samsung will be free for the first three months, following which users will have to pay for the content.

Price & Availability

Samsung has not revealed the final pricing of the phone, which according to the company will be in between INR 22,999 and INR 24,999. The company will announce the price along with the actual availability of Grand 2, which is scheduled for first week of January 2014.
