Amazon revamps Appstore client user-interface

Advertisements

Amazon has recently released an update for its Android Appstore client, which brings updated user-interface and performance enhancements. Carrying the version number 7.0, this update can now be grabbed from Amazon website or directly via the Appstore client.

To manually check for the update, go to Appstore, open the menu, and then tap Settings. From the settings menu, tap Version and Release Notes, and then tap Check For Update.

Amazon has not detailed the changes present in this update but as far as we can see Amazon has chosen the UI elements, which were recently seen in the pre-installed Appstore client in Kindle Fire HDX tablets.

The new UI is a welcome change but there is still a lot to be desired, we hope to see more refinements in the upcoming versions.
