Acer to launch a touchscreen Chromebook for 299 euros soon

Acer is looking to expand its C720 Chromebook line-up with another device, which will be the second-ever touchscreen Chromebook after Google’s Chromebook Pixel. Spotted on Amazon France, this Chromebook will come with model number C720P-29552G03aii.

Currently on pre-order for 299 euros, Acer C720P-29552G03aii is expected to be officially announced soon. It will feature 11.6-inch touchscreen display, Intel’s 1.4GHz Celeron processor (most probably with Haswell microarchitecture), 32GB SSD, and 2GB of RAM.

As you can see most of the specifications of this Acer Chromebook are similar to C720 apart from odd changes in SSD size and RAM. It is quite possible that Acer will introduce more variants of its touchscreen Chromebook with different SSD and RAM sizes.

There is no word on when Acer C720P-29552G03aiiwill go on sale but if you are looking to grab this device and you live in France, you can now place you pre-order at Amazon.
