Just two days after Financial Times reported HTC is working on a wearable device, more details have come out via Bloomberg. The news outlet reveals that this wearable device is going to be a smartwatch and will be released sometime in the second half of 2014.

According to Bloomberg’s sources, pricing and other details of the HTC smartwatch are a mystery right now but it is said to be powered by Android. It will also feature a camera like Samsung’s Galaxy Gear watch.

Wearable are emerging as the next big area of focus for most of the consumer electronics and smartphone firms as analysts predict that retail sales of connected wearable devices will reach $19 billion by 2018.

In related news, HTC is also in talks with Amazon to work on two of the online retail giant’s smartphones, which will reportedly be sold to Prime members next year.
