Amazon Android app updated with support for India

Amazon has released an updated version of its official shopping app in Google Play earlier today. The updated app brings support for shopping from Amazon.in, which means Indian users now have an official app to shop from Amazon.

“We are excited to further enhance the customer shopping experience,” said Amit Agarwal, Vice President and Country Manager, Amazon India. “Customers in India can now use the Amazon App to conveniently shop with confidence from anywhere, all while enjoying the Amazon shopping experience, right from their Android Phones.”

Other changes in the updated app include notification to stay informed of your Subscribe & Saved orders as well as the Gold Box Deal of the Day and performance improvements.

Full change-log:

  • Now available for Amazon.in. Customers in India can shop Amazon.in in addition to Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and other Amazon international stores from a single app.
  • New notifications make it easier for you to stay informed of your Subscribe & Save orders as well as the Gold Box Deal of the Day.
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.
